Role: Account Manager
Location: Whitehorse
Reports to: CEO
Salary Range: $75K – $92K
The Account Manager serves as the primary link between clients and the agency. This role is responsible for maintaining strong client relationships, identifying client needs, and ensuring that agency services and talents meet those needs. The Account Manager represents the agency on a day-to-day basis, providing responsive service and strategic guidance while developing expertise in both the client’s business and the agency’s offerings.

Key Responsibilities
- Act as primary liaison between clients and the agency, coordinating resources to meet client needs.
- Identify opportunities to provide agency services and solutions to clients.
- Collaborate internally and with clients to conceptualize and execute creative campaigns across multiple media platforms.
- Stay informed on industry trends and developments relevant to client accounts.
- Develop accurate price estimates and manage projects to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
- Review creative concepts to ensure alignment with client strategies and goals.
- Assist with campaign measurement, reporting, and strategy optimization.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support new client acquisition planning and creative processes.
- Take notes and develop briefs from client meetings to guide creative work (digital, web, graphic, and strategy).
- Review materials before client presentations and gather feedback.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and identify opportunities for additional services.
- Educate clients on agency processes and capabilities, establishing expectations for partnerships.
- Provide accurate pricing, scope, and deliverable planning alongside creative and management teams.
- Present and defend agency work and proposals to clients; support other team members in client interactions.
- Track clients’ brands, products, services, and marketing developments.
- Prepare scopes of work, billing reports, and invoices for assigned accounts.
- Attend client and internal meetings as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
- Business or marketing degree preferred; or 5+ years’ experience in a marketing or agency role.
- Previous agency experience in client service or account management roles.
- Strong creative, organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and project adjustments efficiently.
- Experience managing projects from start to finish with minimal supervision.
- Strong verbal and written communication, analytical thinking, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Works effectively under tight deadlines and in collaborative environments.
- Persuasive, motivating, and capable of eliciting cooperation from team members and clients.
- Occasional overtime, travel, and flexible hours may be required.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Time Tracking – Accurate logging of client and internal project hours (monitored via Function Point).
- Billable Utilization – Achieve 70% billable time within six months.
- Issue Escalation – Flag project or staff concerns and participate in developing solutions (monitored by leadership).
- Scope Management – Identify out-of-scope tasks and communicate proactively with clients.
- Billing Accuracy – Ensure project billing projections are correct 100% of the time (monitored weekly by leadership).
