About the Learning Disabilities Association of Saskatchewan
The Learning Disabilities Association of Saskatchewan is a not-for-profit organization formed in 1973 that serves those living with learning disabilities and ADHD in Saskatchewan. We do this through the operation of three offices, strategically located across the province in Saskatoon, Regina, and Prince Albert. The Learning Disabilities Association is part of The Learning Disabilities Association of Canada (LDAC), which has chapters in all the provinces and territories in Canada.
We offer a variety of services that supporting our mission, which is to identify and assess learning needs and ADHD, provide inclusive learning supports that build skills, knowledge and capacity, and advocate for people living with learning disabilities and ADHD. Our professional and engaged staff work as engaged community members helping Saskatchewan to be a province where people with learning disabilities have equal opportunity to reach their potential and to thrive in their communities.
LDAS is looking for Academic Tutors to provide the following:
1. Tutoring up to Grade 12 on all subjects.
2. Literacy experience.
3. Ability and willingness to do group sessions (homework club).
4. An Academic Tutor that can customize the program to meet the needs of the student.
5. Someone who can work 4 to 5 hours per week and be willing to work evenings and weekends.
You will ideally have:
1. A bachelor's degree or working towards the completion of a degree.
2. A background working with students with learning disabilities will be considered an asset.
3. Training in Orton Gillingham method for tutoring students with dyslexia will also be considered an asset.
Job Type: Casual
Pay: From $21.00 per hour
