JOB DESCRIPTION:
· Prepares hot and cold food items, on the assigned station(s) in accordance with recipes and correct handling procedures.
· Maintain highest quality and appearance of all foods sent from kitchen and make sure plates are clean and appetizing.
· Utilization of modern techniques and the latest cooking trends.
· Maintain a neat and clean work environment in a safe, accident-free manner.
· Maintain proper pars of production levels according to estimates on the production sheets; maintain top quality freshness.
· Use leftovers and maintain proper storage of leftovers on hot food side. Label and date all food.
· Maintain clean and orderly refrigerators and work areas. Make sure that all stations are properly cleaned at end of shift and at end of evening.
· Rotate all foods and correctly fill out production charts.
· Assist in all areas of the kitchen when required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
· Knowledge of cooking methods including broil, sauté, grill, making soups and sauces, general food preparation, proper knife handling, maintain proper temperature, sanitation, light dessert knowledge required for plating specifications.
· Creative, outside of the box ideas.
· Ability to prioritize work quickly and works well under pressure.
· Must be approachable and a team player.
· Self-motivated and able to work productively with minimal supervision.
· Must demonstrate positive behaviours.
· Excellent personal presentation.
· Hilton Brand Standards must be adhered to at all times.

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
· Ability to stand for long periods of time.
· Will have a great deal of energy and enthusiasm.
EXPEREINCE and SKILLS:
· Minimum three years cooking experience at one or more stations.
· Experience in a busy kitchen required.
· Passion for food.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Grade 12 or equivalent an asset.
· Completion of Block III Culinary training will be considered an asset
WORK SCHEDULE: Shifts and days off will vary.
Must be available to work days, evenings, holidays, and weekends.
