Position: Community Wellness Program Worker

Employment Status: Contract – 12 Months
Salary: $31.34 – 37.46/HR – 35 Hours per Week
Location: Naughton, ON

POSITION SCOPE:
The Community Wellness Program Worker is responsible for promoting mental health and addiction awareness through culturally grounded, holistic, and community-based education. This role empowers community members to make healthy lifestyle choices and supports the overall wellness of Atikameksheng Anishnawbek.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Diploma or Degree in Health and/or Social Work, or an equivalent program.
- 3-5 years’ work experience in social/health and prevention program settings
- CPIC (Vulnerable Sector) – must be provided at the time of employment offer
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, implement and evaluate wellness programming for the community
- Facilitate programming addressing needs identified in the Mental Health and Addictions program, Community Strategic Plan, and the needs of the community.
- Participate in annual workplan development with the Health Team
- Participate in performance evaluations as established by the Atikameksheng Anishnawbek.
- Establish educational goals in the form of an annual learning plan
- Prepare monthly calendars and participate in program planning meetings
- Record participation statistics (data entry) and prepare reports
- Contribute to report submissions to meet funding requirements
