Overview
We’re looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Wine Bar All-Arounder to join our small team. This role is ideal for someone who’s passionate about wine, hospitality, and creating memorable guest experiences in an intimate, fast-paced environment.
Our kitchen and team are both intentionally small — which means everyone pitches in everywhere. You’ll be taking orders, serving tables, talking about wine, and jumping into the kitchen to help plate snack-style dishes. Candidates should feel confident switching between front-of-house and back-of-house roles with ease.
Duties
– Warmly greet guests, take orders, and provide attentive, friendly service from start to finish.
– Offer thoughtful wine recommendations and share basic knowledge to enhance the guest experience.
– Assist with light food prep and plating of our snack-style menu in the kitchen.
– Maintain a clean and organized workspace across all areas — bar, service counter, and kitchen.
– Handle transactions accurately using our POS system and follow proper cash handling procedures.
– Monitor inventory levels for wine, snacks, and supplies, and communicate when restocking is needed.
– Work collaboratively with the team to keep service flowing smoothly, especially during busy periods.
– Be flexible and confident in rotating between roles — from talking wine to jumping into kitchen tasks.
– Create a welcoming, community-focused atmosphere that reflects the spirit of our space.
Experience
– 2–3 years of experience in a restaurant, wine bar, or similar food and beverage setting is strongly preferred.
– Comfortable handling multiple roles in a fast-paced, small-team environment.
– Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests confidently and warmly.
– Basic math skills and familiarity with POS systems are essential for handling orders and transactions.
– Organized, adaptable, and able to multitask during busy service periods.
– A passion for wine and a willingness to learn about different varietals, regions, and pairings is key.
– Multilingual abilities are a bonus and help foster an inclusive, welcoming atmosphere
