Zoeller Canada Regional Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the sales efforts for Zoeller Canada in western Canada. Plan and meet objectives regarding sales volume, market share, and profitable growth. For this position, territory is considered Western Canada.
Duties:
- Build strong working relationships to ensure programs and best practices are implemented within the respective territory.
- Hands-on involvement – must travel with representatives and make personal sales calls with representatives calling on distributors, communicate with team members (includes sales reps, other regional managers, national account managers and other internal contacts). Initiate reviews with respective representatives as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and standards.
- ·Adheres and supports company’s Safety and Environmental policies and practices
- Problem solver – review suggestions and complaints from the field and communicate necessary corrective action to management. Assist in managing channel conflicts and corrective actions.
- Goal oriented – responsible for establishing regional sales objectives and working to implement and manage a territory action plan.
- Develop new distribution and growth opportunities in areas not being covered adequately with Zoeller Canada sales.
- Responsible for overall regional sales performance and attainment of monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals and managing Zoeller Canada sales policies, programs and terms of sale.
- Manage and conduct factory sponsored training sessions for representatives, distributors, engineers, contractors, service centers, and other potential customers.
- Evaluate market trends and gather competitive information, identify trends that affect current and future growth
- Maintain and expand customer base by counseling sales representatives; build and maintain relationships with key customers. Manage product warranties in the field.
- Ability to learn and retain product specific information. Utilize product features and benefits to assist sales team in product knowledge and sales opportunities.
- Provide customer support on site when required.
- Perform client and prospect demonstrations (both virtual and in-person).
- Coordinate and attend Trade Shows Exhibits, Open Houses etc. to promote Zoeller Canada and their products
- Proactively guide customers through their product options and prescribe solutions based on their needs.
- Identify any custom technical requirements and coordinate as necessary with product team.
- Share sales and product insights and feedback with product management team to facilitate new features and updates.
- Communicate deep technical information for a variety of audiences
- Responsible for completing weekly Call Logs to update management and provide market intelligence
Experience:
- Build strong working relationships to ensure programs and best practices are implemented within the respective territories.
- 5+ years plumbing/pump and controls industry sales experience required
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneous
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to make effective customer presentations
- Strong leadership skills with proven sales management to own and lead all technical aspects of the sales process
- Ability to simultaneously manage multiple accounts/opportunities
- Must be a self-starter, dependable and work well under pressure
- Experience in creating detailed technical proposal and implementation plans
- Experience preparing RFPs
- Competency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- CRM software and/or ERP software
- Bilingual English/French verbal and written will be give preference but not required
- Must have a valid driver’s license, vehicle, and maintain a good driving record
- Must be able to travel by air and car within geographic region as well as to the USA (Approx. 70%)
