The Role:
The person in this role will be reporting to the Logistics Department Manager and Supervising a small warehouse team ensuring proper order picking/packaging, shipping/receiving, and overall warehouse flow, and organization. Please note that job duties and responsibilities are subject to change over time and CanCrete reserves the right to make changes to your job duties/responsibilities.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Lead, supervise and coach the warehouse team ensuring the Company’s values, health and safety program and policies/procedures are being followed
- Oversee and work along side warehouse team in daily warehouse operations including order picking, packing, shipping and receiving processes to ensure that items are correctly picked, accurately packed, and shipped according to customer requirements
- Conduct daily communication meetings to plan, prioritize, assign and organize, daily work activities in the warehouse
- Increase productivity by creating/maintaining an environment where employees are motivated to take ownership of responsibilities
- Train and develop new and existing employees on health and safety and new/existing policies and procedures providing feedback when necessary
- Provide feedback and updates to the Logistics Department Manager regarding daily/weekly activities, performance and identify any areas of improvement
- Ensure inventory accuracy through weekly cycle counts, yearly inventory count and discrepancy investigations and collaborate with Logistics Department Manager to implement actions to prevent reoccurrence
- Participate in warehouse meeting, parts meeting, and staff meeting – inputting to and executing action plans as appropriate
- Ensures employees have the appropriate equipment and tools necessary to perform their jobs
- Travel between locations (Mississauga and Orangeville) may be required
- Other duties assigned by management
Qualifications:
- Post-Secondary degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field is an asset
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse management or supervision
- MRP System Experience – SAP an Asset
- Proficient knowledge of computer software including Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as office equipment (telephone, copier, scanner).
- Excellent organizational skills to function under time constraints and within established deadlines, with particular attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business needs
- Proactive problem solver with a positive, can-do attitude
- Valid G class license with a clean driver’s abstract
- Forklift Operator Certification
- Engages and operates with a high level of integrity and reliability
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
- Knowledge of the construction industry, with an emphasis on the concrete sector is an asset

Pay: $31.00-$35.00 per hour
