Citak Rugs Inc. - Warehouse Lead – Job Description
Function: Warehouse Lead is responsible for all aspects of warehouse functions including the receiving, storing, handling, shipping and preparing of product for customer delivery while maintaining the warehouse in a safe, clean and orderly fashion.
Warehouse Lead Duties & Responsibilities
- To accurately place materials on shelves, in racks or other designated storage areas in an orderly manner.
- Attaches identifying tag or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers.
- Prepares and fills orders to be shipped to customers; pulling materials; packing boxes/items; placing orders in delivery area.
- Review all orders to determine if they were picked correctly.
- Preparation of all shipping documentation and shipping labels.
- Learn and process shipments using software systems from UPS, FedEx, CanPar and others.
- On a daily basis, calling freight companies for arranging, organizing and booking pickups for shipments.
- Documenting the shipping and receiving processes.
- Create delivery and shipment reports and ensure that all information is keyed and scanned into the company database.
- Receiving shipment materials coming into the building by suppliers, customers, or other warehouses accurately and promptly.
- Verifies the quantity and description of materials received by checking merchandise against the packing list.
- Examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items. Appropriately report/record any discrepancies.
- Enter quantity received against the purchase order in the computer system and print back order and inventory stock put away list.
- Maintains inventory controls by performing physical inventory count and adjusting online inventory levels.
- Document maintenance and supply levels of warehouse tools.
- Ensure warehouse and customer areas are cleaned on a regular basis.
- Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintaining clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Willingness to take on any general warehouse tasks and procedures.
Competencies:
- Be able to identify product by size, type, style, color or product code.
- Solid reading skills – must be able to read orders/match orders on shipping tickets to items picked.

Warehouse Worker Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED required
- Previous warehouse experience preferred
- Ability to work on feet and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs
- Proven ability to work independently with strong attention to detail
- Superior organizational skills
- Strong communication skills coupled with the drive to improve our day-to-day operations
- Intermediate computer skills, experience in MS Office is required
- Must be professional, energetic and very dependable

Physical Requirements:
- Able to move/lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
- Able to withstand temperatures in a typical warehouse environment
- Position may require climbing of secured ladders for top-level selection
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $23.00-$27.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
