Job Title: Volunteer Program Assistant (CSJ Title: Administrative Assistant)
Contract Term: 8-week term (Canada Summer Jobs Grant contract)
Hourly Rate: $ 16.50
Start Date: July 7 at the latest
End Date: August 31, 2025
Hours of Work: 35 hours per week

Eligibility Criteria:
The candidate must meet the criteria below to qualify for roles funded by Canada Summer Jobs.
- The candidate must be between the ages of 15 and 30 at the beginning of the employment period.
- The candidate must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person who has been granted refugee status in Canada
- The candidate must have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment.

Job Overview:
Provides administrative support to the Volunteer Resources department through the maintenance and tracking of volunteer files and database, communication with volunteers, and assistance during the planning and execution of events.
Responsibilities:
- Inputs and maintains volunteer files online
- Tracks requirement completions and document submission
- Communicates with volunteers regarding outstanding training or document requirements
- Assists volunteers with use of the online system
- Responds to volunteer queries regarding shifts, schedules, missing hours, etc
- Provides support in volunteer recruitment and onboarding activities
- Updates documents as directed, including position descriptions, manuals, etc
- Provides support in planning and execution of recognition events
- Maintains the Volunteer Centre and volunteer equipment
- Attends volunteer committee meetings and training or orientation sessions, takes notes and minutes as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Must meet the Canada Summer Jobs eligibility criteria.
- Education in Business Administration, Office Administration, Volunteer Management is an asset.
- Experience in an administrative role is an asset.
