Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Support Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional technical support to our users, ensuring that all desktop systems and software applications are functioning optimally. This role requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical users.
Duties
- Provide desktop support for hardware and software issues, ensuring timely resolution of user problems.
- Troubleshoot software applications, including installation, configuration, and updates.
- Utilize Remedy or similar ticketing systems to track and manage support requests efficiently.
- Assist in the setup and maintenance of computer hardware, including desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
- Support computer networking issues related to LAN connectivity and configuration.
- Communicate effectively with users to understand their technical needs and provide clear instructions for resolution.
- Maintain documentation of support processes and solutions for future reference.
- Collaborate with IT teams to improve system performance and user experience across various platforms, including MacOS.
Requirements
- Proven experience in technical support or desktop support roles is preferred not required.
- Familiarity with computer hardware components and their functionality.
- Knowledge of LAN setups and basic networking principles.
- Proficient in using Remedy or similar ticketing systems for tracking support requests.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
