Our stylish modular homes are built in a 165,000 square foot climate-controlled facility in Barrhead, Alberta.
Job Summary:
Northplex Ltd. is currently seeking a Full-Time Production Member in our Truss Plant located in Barrhead, AB. This position is responsible for the assembly of Trusses used in our Modular homes.
Position Accountabilities:
Read production orders, diagrams, and specification items in Truss prints
Accurately measure and cut all the various parts of a floor / roof truss
Confident using all types of saws, power and hand tools
Along with the supervisor / lead hand, plan and implement strategies to ensure the needs of the plant are met with floor / roof trusses
Safely operate the press machine
Make minor adjustments and repairs
Work within the larger team to create a safe, clean, and efficient workplace
Follows procedures accurately and carefully to ensure work is completed to the highest standards possible
Responsible for the use and care/maintenance of company tools, and equipment
Perform other related duties as required
Qualifications:
Modular or home framing would be an asset
Ability to read and follow detail orientated blueprints, drawings, and written specifications
Self-Starter with a high attention to detail
Highly organized, good work ethic, willing to learn, and good attendance
Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
Team player with good attitude
Good communication skills and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Perform duties in an organized and productive manner in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
