We are currently looking for and outstanding delivery drivers for our Local Cartage & Special Handling division.
Service Required
*These drivers will work in the local GTA and surrounding areas daily doing commercial deliveries . 50 % of all deliveries will require you to be working hands on loading/ unloading material with dollies or mechanical aids into Offices- Retail outlets. You will be interacting directly with customers.
You will be
* Home every day.
*Paid full hours from arrival for circle check until end of day circle check -
*** If you sit in traffic you still get paid ****
* The top driver we are looking for will step up to handle occasional Weekend, evening deliveries(as late as 9pm) and early morning deliveries ( as early as 6am) which are required on contacts received through the year. these deliveries come up approximately 15 times per year and are split among driving staff.
*As a Driver / Handler You will either be working by yourself or will be paired with a second member of the team for Multi person deliveries.
*Drivers MUST have a strong work ethic ,willing to lift and handle product, must be clean and presentable, be able to count , read, write and follow specific delivery instructions on assigned tasks.
*Candidate must have ability to operate cell phone, camera, electronic logs and be mechanically inclined in order to complete tasks.
Driver Experience
*Drivers MUST HAVE a current MIN of 2-3 yrs LARGE TRUCK DRIVING Experience i.e.-24ft Box truck AZ/DZ or Equivalent 24 ft Straight truck with G Class accepted.
*Clean drivers abstract.
We pay well for experienced LARGE TRUCK drivers that want to work.
IF YOU DO NOT MEET ALL OF THE ABOVE CRITERIA for LARGE TRUCK EXPERIENCE YOU WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00-$29.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
