Responsibilities:

Receive incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders and ensuring accuracy.

Unload, inspect, and store incoming materials in designated areas.

Maintain accurate records of all shipments, including tracking information and inventory counts.

Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.

Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock replenishment.

Keep warehouse and shipping/receiving areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.

Collaborate with other departments to fulfill orders and resolve any shipping or receiving issues promptly.

Operate and drive trucks to transport goods to and from specified destinations.

Load and unload cargo, ensuring it is properly secured to prevent damage during transit.

Comply with applicable legislation, including safe operation, carriage of goods, occupational health and safety, transportation of dangerous goods, and weights and dimensions.

Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles.

Perform pre-trip, in route, and post-trip inspections on vehicle and load, ensuring safety and roadworthiness (circle checks, delivery ticket information etc.)

Maintain contact with Supervisors in accordance with daily travel plan.

Maintain appearance and equipment including refueling vehicles as required.

Complete all necessary paperwork at the end of the shift, including daily logs, inspection logs, delivery receipts, vehicle inspection, following applicable provincial and federal regulations.

Check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Proven experience in shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations.

Familiarity with shipping software and inventory management systems.

Valid forklift operator certification.

Ability to lift and move heavy objects, and to stand, bend, and stoop for extended periods.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all company policies and procedures.

Required to drive a single axel ,24 ft flat bed (automatic)

Required to drive a box truck (manual transmission / standard)

Able to work 5 days a week some overtime required.

Must have a clean driving record

Must have a valid G and D license

Should have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Experience: 7+ years of experience as a truck driver with a clean driving record,

operating a forklift with a valid forklift licence
