A Treatment Coordinator Dental Claims Manager in a dental office serves as the crucial link between patients, the dental team, and the financial aspects of care. This role involves explaining treatment plans and their associated costs, helping patients understand their insurance coverage and financing options, and coordinating insurance claims and payments. They manage patient records, assist with scheduling, and support the overall financial health of the practice by ensuring smooth case acceptance and follow-up, while also overseeing administrative tasks related to treatment and claims processing.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Communication & Financial Guidance:
- Present treatment plans, costs, and potential outcomes to patients.
- Explain insurance benefits, coverage details, and assist with financing options.
- Help patients understand the value of necessary dental work and overcome financial concerns.
Treatment & Claims Management:
- Coordinate the treatment process from initial consultation to follow-up appointments.
- Process, submit, and track dental insurance claims and manage collections.
- Ensure accurate logging and management of patient records and treatment plans within practice management software.
Administrative Support & Coordination:
- Liaise with dentists, hygienists, and other clinic staff to ensure comprehensive and smooth patient care.
- Manage patient inquiries related to care, scheduling, and billing.
- Support front desk operations, including scheduling and appointment confirmations.
- May involve supervising administrative team members to ensure operational efficiency.
Required Skills

- Financial Acumen:Strong understanding of financial management, insurance processes, and billing.
