Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Network Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting network systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability. This role requires a strong understanding of computer networking principles, as well as hands-on experience with various technologies and tools. The Network Technician will play a crucial role in supporting our telecommunications infrastructure and ensuring seamless connectivity for all users.
Duties
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software components.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Conduct regular inspections of network systems to detect potential problems.
- Collaborate with team members to design and implement network solutions based on project requirements.
- Utilize IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems) to enhance network security.
- Read blueprints and technical diagrams to assist in the installation of network systems.
- Perform mechanical tasks related to network installations, including the use of power tools.
- Maintain documentation of network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting steps.
- Support CCTV installation and maintenance as part of security measures.
- Provide telecommunication support for users experiencing connectivity issues.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in computer networking with a solid understanding of networking protocols and technologies.
- DSC security installation and programming experience required.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints related to network infrastructure.
- Ubiquity equipment experience an asset.
- Experience with CCTV systems is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to detect issues quickly and effectively.
- Strong communication skills to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks efficiently.

Pay: $20.96-$42.06 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
