The Technical Curriculum Manager plays a key role in designing and developing innovative training that facilitates Auth0 and Okta product adoption. You will lead a team of technical curriculum developers and technical writers in creating innovative on-demand training, interactive hands-on labs, instructor-led course materials, skill badge assessments, and technical guides.
Your proven success in managing a high-performance team to deliver engaging, effective technical training content in a timely manner is critical. Prior experience in delivering complex courseware for a software developer audience is highly desirable. To succeed in this position, you will be flexible and focus on continuous improvement. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the content development from intake through project delivery. This includes resource project prioritization across concurrent projects to balance resource usage.
- Partner with subject matter experts and stakeholders to facilitate communication on roadmaps, milestones, and metrics.
- Ensure that content meets quality standards. Coach team members as needed.
- Ensure that course collateral, metadata, and marketing material are reviewed, handed off, archived, and regularly audited according to operating standards.
- Monitor product roadmaps and customer feedback to determine update cadence.
- Develop and lead a values-driven, inclusive team culture that strives to innovate and continuously improve to drive measurable outcomes in all aspects of our work.
- Ensure alignment between individual performance and team, business unit, and company objectives. Provide coaching, career development opportunities, and performance management to meet objectives.
- Collaborate within the customer success team to deliver on shared goals.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in a related field, or equivalent.
- 3-5+ years as a manager of curriculum development:
- Consistent track record of building high-performance teams who deliver quality projects on time.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a wide range of audiences and build relationships across all lines of business.
- Experience with Agile content development methodology is a plus.
- 5+ years of technical curriculum development experience, preferably for a software developer audience.
- Deep understanding of learning experience design for customer-facing on-demand training that includes video and hands-on labs.
- Strong knowledge of content development tools and LMS systems.
- Experience with AI development tools is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with data analysis and reporting for learning metrics.
- Demonstrated ability to be flexible in taking on any challenge and changing directions if needed.
