We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while accurately processing transactions. A background in food service is preferred, as you will also assist with food handling and preparation.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide assistance as needed.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process transactions efficiently.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with accuracy.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items to effectively upsell products.
- Assist in food preparation and ensure adherence to food safety standards.
- Keep the cashier area clean and organized, following health and safety regulations.
- Manage time effectively during peak hours to ensure quick service.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures is essential.
- Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
- Strong time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
