This is a 3 month contract position.
Role Purpose
The Swamper/Field Labourer is responsible for assisting with the installation of screw piles. This role is integral in the set-up, support, pin-up, locating and positioning of each screw pile.
Job Duties
- Provide labour support to operators.
- Applies the required markings to the product (such as pile identification numbers, customer order numbers, heat numbers and pile locations).
- Assists with basic maintenance tasks, including shoveling tracks and knows the lubrication points on equipment.
- Demonstrates good housekeeping habits by keeping the site clean and tidy to prevent injuries and property damage.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Clean class 5 driver’s license
- Field safety tickets including First Aid, H2S, CSTS, Fall Protection, and Ground Disturbance are an asses
- This is a safety sensitive position and will require candidates to comply with Almita’s drug and alcohol program.
Work Environment
- Construction environment
- Exposure to loud noises and extreme temperatures
- Usually outdoors, including travel to remote locations
- Physical elements include bending, twisting, crouching, kneeling, standing for long periods of time, lifting weights up to 50 pounds frequently and in excess of 50 pounds occasionally with assistance
- Work schedule may vary; shift work
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times
