Job Description

AECOM is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Construction Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in civil and structural construction. The successful candidate will be responsible for measuring field progress, tracking installation rates, and ensuring all work aligns with contract specifications and engineering design drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Measurement and Validation:
  • Measure and validate the work done on-site, ensuring accuracy and compliance with design specifications.
  • Prepare and submit detailed progress reports and validation reports to the project manager.
  • Work Package Management:
  • Monitor project construction work packages, ensuring they remain within hours and quantity budgets.
  • Track Field Quantities installed.
  • Conduct regular site visits to measure field progress and installation rates.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
  • Contract Administration:
  • Review and interpret contract documents, engineering design drawings, and quantities.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with the contract specifications and design requirements.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Liaise with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure smooth project execution.

Provide clear and concise reports and updates to stakeholders

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • University Degree in relevant field of study + 8 (eight) years of relevant experience in cost estimating, cost control, project controls.
  • Demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education may be considered.

Preferred Requirements:

  • PQS/MRICS designation
  • Experience preparing preconstruction cost estimates for commercial and infrastructure projects
  • Experience managing and assisting in post- contract change order review.
  • Have an understanding for the make-up of net-costs; including review of equipment/material prices, labor rates/ fringe benefits.

Additional Information

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $95,000.00 - $130,000.00.
