The Job and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate a willingness to be mentored and take direction from the Surveyor.
- Assist in a variety of survey-related tasks such as the setup of conventional survey and GPS systems, survey data collection, and other duties as directed by the Surveyor.
- Inspect, operate and maintain survey equipment, tools and vehicles.
- Full compliance and active participation in the Apex Geomatics’ Health and Safety Program.
- Adherence with quality assurance procedures and quality control practices.
- Assist in the completion of daily field documentation and reports.
- As a representative of Apex Geomatics, you are to conduct yourself with a professional, cordial attitude with clients.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma and 1 year of previous industry experience or post-secondary training in an applicable field would be considered an asset.
- Possess technical and mathematical skills along with the ability to perform physically demanding tasks in an outdoor environment in all weather conditions.
- Have a strong attention to detail and ability to follow instruction.
- Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to collaborate with team members.
- This is a safety-sensitive position and will be subject to pre-access drug and alcohol screening.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
- CSTS 2020 and ESC Confined Space certifications required.
