The Opportunity
SC Education is currently seeking to fill the permanent role of a Student Finance Administrator. This role is an on-campus position at our office in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Key Responsibilities
- The Student Finance Administrator is an integral member of the Admissions team, supporting the enrolment processes with a focus on securing funding for students
- Student financial aid administration including: student budgeting, providing information and facilitating funding applications, administering financial aid disbursements, collecting and recording student payments, outbound calls to students regarding budgeting and repayment, overseeing refund processes, and processing student refunds
- Communicates and coordinates extensively with students
- Campus financial administration: maintaining student records and acting as a central administrative resource
- Completes administrative tasks, updates information systems and coordinates on various issues with the Admissions, Education and Career Services department staff
- Reports directly to and supports the needs of the Student Finance Manager
- Adheres to Ministry, financial and college compliance policies, procedures and standards
- Works with Reception and other staff to represent the organization as a primary point of first contact for answering phones and greeting students
- To support other duties or projects as assigned
Qualifications and Experience
- Post-secondary education is an asset: Diploma/Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Commerce preferred.
- Minimum 3 years experience in an administrative accounting/financial environment
- A strong background in customer service and sales are essential to success in this position
- Exceptional phone etiquette, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Intermediate level Microsoft Office - especially Word and Excel, excellent data entry skills, and a strong aptitude for accuracy are an asset.
- Experience with Alberta Student Aid loans, and collections experience would be an asset
- Strong collaboration, teamwork & people skills

Pay: $16.00-$19.00 per hour
