Why Join The Compressor Rotating Structures Team?

If you are interested in applying broad Mechanical Engineering principles in the structural design, analysis and certification of jet engines rotating components. The role type is onsite, working in a dynamic environment and collaborating with a wide network of specialist.

This position is full-time, Monday to Friday, with flexible hours in Mississauga, and is exclusively on-site.

What will your day-to-day look like?

  • Participate in IPT teams

  • Build 2D/3D thermal and structural finite element models of compressor rotors

  • Use in-house and commercial software to perform various analyses such as:

    • Fatigue analysis (LCF / HCF)

    • Fracture mechanics

    • Impact analysis – ice, bird

    • Rotor burst assessment

  • R&D to support the next generation of technologies and methods

  • Quality note disposition and Engineering source approvals

  • Support Production and Field operations

What do you need to be successful?

  • Good analytical and problem solving skills

  • Good knowledge of Finite Element Analysis

  • Good knowledge of Mechanical Engineering

  • Good written and oral communication skills

  • Good organizational skills

  • Being interested in and capable of sharing knowledge

  • Being innovative
