Reporting to the Senior Director, Employee Relations and Labor Relations, the candidate will be called upon, among other things, to play a role in the development of a proactive strategic and operational service offer in employee and labour relations.
In addition, the incumbent will have to develop and maintain a trust relationship with managers, union partners and human capital business partners to ensure the best strategies and practices in the discipline.

Salary range 007: 111 300$ to 139 100$ (Salary will be determined based on skills, education, training & experience related to the position.)
What’s involved in this role:
In the context of organizational transformation, act as a change agent in employee and labour relations, bringing an innovative and sustainable vision based on trust.
Contribute to the improvement of the employee experience and work organization.
Support managers and their teams in employee and labour relations management.
Work closely with the entire human capital team and other centres of expertise.
Direct, coach and guide on-site human capital business partners on all matters related to employee and labour relations, including disciplines, absenteeism, grievances, and complaints to various bodies.
Ensure that the strategies used for your sector of activity are optimal and based on best practices and propose new ways of doing things if necessary.
Support various organizational projects such as acquisitions, reorganizations, closures, terminations and employee disputes with all legal authorities.
Ensure legal monitoring and follow market trends in terms of best practices.
Coordinate the investigation processes required in relation to complaints to the ethics line or any other workplace complaints affecting employees.
Represents the Organization before courts and administrative bodies in matters of employee relations and labour relations and prepares cases for administrative and legal appeals.
Conducts various jurisprudential and doctrinal research and monitors best practices to keep employee relations and labour relations policies and administrative procedures up to date.
Provide information, coaching and training on employee and labour relations as well as good management practices to the various levels of managers and supervisors.
Working in a unionized environment, you will have to:
Coordinate the planning and orientation of collective agreement negotiations with all stakeholders, including the coordination of the contingency plan;
Act as the employer's spokesperson during the renewal of collective agreements;
Establish negotiation mandates jointly with managers and coordinate the steps to obtain approvals;
Analyze union demands in collective agreement negotiation files and conduct comparative analyses with the support of human capital business partners;
Responsible for drafting collective agreement language, letters of agreement or any other document resulting from interactions with unions;
Administer the financial mandate of the negotiation.
What you need to join our team:
You have a bachelor’s degree in industrial relations or human resources management (any other combination deemed relevant will be considered).
You have at least 7 years of relevant experience in labour relations, including experience in negotiation as a spokesperson.
You have experience in the manufacturing sector (an asset).
Your in-depth knowledge of labour laws, regulations and case law as well as dispute resolution processes, including arbitration and mediation, is essential.
You are proficient in the Office suite (Word, Excel, Sharepoint, etc.).
Due to the nature of the role requiring interactions with national clients, bilingualism in both English and French is required for this position.
Have managed businesses under different provincial jurisdictions.
You are autonomous and take charge of the files for which you are responsible.
You are comfortable influencing, have the courage to act and are results oriented.
You stand out for your verbal and written communication skills and are able to be firm and/or flexible depending on the case.
