Responsible for receiving incoming food products and checking their quality and quantity. Maintains proper storage, security, rotation, and distribution of these items. Also ensures that the storeroom is organized and kept in a hygienic condition.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive high volume deliveries.
- Issue out order requisitions.
- Ensures a smooth receiving and dispatching process following proper documentation.
- Work in both freezers and coolers to organize and apply FIFO at all times.
- Monitors and ensures compliance with temperature control requirements and other SOPs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
- Must have excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Must be knowledgeable of various products, CCP1 log, Julian Date Code system, temperature control.
- Knowledge/familiar with Food Products (e.g. meats, fruits, vegetables, etc.).
- Willing to work any shift, morning / afternoon shifts and available weekends and statutory holidays.
- Experience in Storeroom preferred.
- Detail oriented.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift, push, pull and move product, equipment, supplies, etc. (approximately in the 10 to 25 pound range).
- Excellent work ethic and positive attitude.
- Can work well with others and perform duties with minimal supervision.
- Experience in operating Manual and Electric Pallet Jack.
All successful candidates must receive a complete clear background check that includes the following three elements (in accordance with Transport Canada):
- A Canadian Criminal Record Check (CCRC)

- A check of the individual’s work history for the five years preceding the date of the background check
