THE ROLE
The Stockroom Supervisor is directly responsible for the “hands-on” supervision of daily stockroom production.
Essential Functions:
- Perform minor repairs on the garments, or send them to the seamstress if the repairs are too complex.
- Remove the emblem and reattach a new one on returned garments as needed.
- Track the daily workflow of garments through the stockroom production.
- Follow instructions for New Installs.
- Schedule stockroom production based on daily count of pieces requested on.
- Measure daily pieces produced by new requested and used requested.
- Monitor and assign stockroom workers to the stockroom stations as required by the piece workflow.
- Monitor the productive labor reports, working with employees who may need further training.
- Assure proper maintenance procedures are being performed on stockroom production equipment. (Including following lock-out procedures.).
- Review the Customer Order Forms (“C.O.F.’s”) daily for completeness and Discuss any unusual requests and/or nonstandard items with the merchandise control manager for further investigation.
- Monitor the general paper flow in and out of the stockroom to other departments to assure accuracy and Keep a daily log for the production counts discussed above, along with counts on RTS and replacement pieces (for scheduling work on the stock line.)
- Work with the Merchandise Control Manager to maintain needed inventory on new garments, allied items for the plant, and one-way items for direct sales.
- Schedule production workflow to allow for monthly physical inventory count, without disruption of service to Assist in the supervision of the physical count, and paper flow cut-off times (“before” and “after” inventory.).
- Work with the Merchandise Control Manager to assure the grading schedule is being followed, and all used garments are being pulled in the most effective manner.
- Maintain compliance with all Federal, State and Local laws and regulation that affect Market Center Comply with Federal Regulations and Company safety policies and practices to promote safety awareness in the Market Center.
- Support an environment of continuous improvement.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the activities enumerated.
Working Environment:
Exposure to extreme hot/cold temperatures within a plant environment. Requires the following physical activities: Lifting, reaching, bending, walking, sitting, standing, pushing, pulling.
Minimum Specifications:
- High school degree or equivalent experience
- Experience using a sewing machine
- Experience working in inventory or similar position
- Proficient in Microsoft, Word, Excel
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Prompt arrival and regular attendance at work
- Ability to learn, understand, and adhere to all applicable safety precautions
- Ability to develop and maintain a positive working relationship
- Supports and participates in the Company's production and quality standards with a continuous focus on customers
