As a Daily Operations Lead, you will be a critical part of your Starbucks’ success by keeping things going each day with baristas to provide the Starbucks Experience. You play an important role for your team as you are responsible for role modeling our customer service commitment, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products, maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming store, and confidently running shifts that create the Starbucks Experience.

As a successful candidate for this position, you are a highly self-motivated individual. In this role, you’ll be using your leadership expertise to provide the following support:
- Understand the day’s plan and ensure the team is working together to make every moment right for customers.
- Promote an atmosphere of engagement and pride in delivering the Starbucks Experience and achieving goals.
- After you or your leader create the plan for the shift, you will lead the team through the day’s plan, adjusting in the moment, when necessary.
- Monitors progress towards unit goals and assigns associates to meet those objectives.
- Demonstrates a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events and helps manage smooth shift transitions thereafter to keep store operating to standard and to set a positive example for the store team.
- Capture key information from the shift on the Daily Plan in the Daily Records Book.
- Maintains working knowledge of all applicable brand standards, recipes, procedures and protocols, including food safety and customer service, to maximize brand and employee relations.
- Supports on-the-job training for associates, and ensures all associates receive brand compliance training to perform their jobs proficiently.
- Uses judgment and discretion to resolve routine questions and problems and refers more complex issues to higher levels.
- Displays a customer comes first attitude by training and holding associates accountable for delivering world-class customer service.
- Anticipate problems and use your resources to confidently and calmly respond.
Required Qualifications:
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Entrepreneurial mentality with experience in a sales focused environment
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to coach and mentor team partners with professional maturity
- Possess strong organizational, time management and project management skills with a demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a team environment
- Ability to work full time hours including variable hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends and/or holidays
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years experience in a restaurant and/or retail setting
- Must be a skilled communicator, with well-developed verbal, written and presentation ability
- Must have a valid drivers license and the ability to travel to Properties
