The Roasted Nut Company is a nuttery and cafe located in the heart of Toronto on Queen St. West. The Roasted Nut was created out of a need for something different - for snacks that please both your taste buds and health. We believe you shouldn’t have to choose between flavour and nutrition, so we’ve taken small batch innovation and merged it with nature’s snacking staple. The result? Uniquely delicious and healthy nut creations made with unparalleled freshness. We don’t make nuts for the masses, we make nuts especially for you.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative individual who can capture the unique experience of The Roasted Nut cafe, along with creating content showcasing our product in creative ways. The creator will not only be responsible for making engaging current content for all social channels (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and Linkdin), they will also be in charge of managing the channels by maintaining a content calendar, staying active online regularly to maintain and monitor engagement and navigate/communicate with followers through DM's and comments. The creator will work with the marketing director to make sure all channel grounds are covered and that content meets the marketing standards. The role will be starting at 10-12 hours per week. It will require approximately 2-3 visits to our store located at 768 Queen St. West in Toronto to create content, but the remaining hours will be done remotely from the comfort of your own home.
Role consists of the following responsibilities:
-Build online brand identity through online content, visuals and engagement.
-Manage online representation of the brand through our current social networks, such as Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
-Create in-store content that captures who we are and what we do
-Create lifestyle content outside of the store creatively
-Plan and manage social content bi-weekly in a digital calendar
-Engage with audience through comment and direct messages within social applications daily
-Create basic marketing content for social stories
- Covering events that The RNC hosts or attends
-Develop strategy and tactics based on current analytics to meet company benchmarks
-Work with relevant influencers or complementary brands to grow the company’s social following organically
-Suggesting new and creative ways to use social to further our clients’ brand and project goals
-Work with the marketing team to create compelling content for publication or campaign
Skills and qualifications:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience managing social media channels and content creation
- Advanced knowledge of social channels and ability to develop strategy based on analytics
-Demonstrate strong attention to detail and organizational skills
-Ability to work on tight deadlines and have the flexibility to make changes based on business needs
-Experience creating, monitoring, and optimizing paid posts (follower campaigns, boosted posts, etc.) is an asset
-Self-motivated team player with great ability to manage time and has a close attention to detail
-Passion for health and educated on the nutrient benefits of nuts
