We are presently searching for our next great team member as a Snow School Supervisor to join our Alpine Guest Services team. If you can provide our guests with an amazing experience, combined with working as an energetic part of our resort, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities include: (but not limited to)
- Train, mentor and lead Snow School Instructors
- Oversee Snow School Activities and report directly to the AGS Manager.
- Monitor and delegate lessons to Snow School Instructors.
- Manage Snow School Schedule and lesson availability to maximize the use of snow school products
- Communicate with guests over snow school specific enquiries and provide in-depth information to help guests purchase the correct services.
- Instruct and coach guests of all ages and abilities to ski or snowboard within your instructor's certification level in a group or one-on-one setting.
- Properly assess students of their ability and place them in the appropriate groups
- Set up and take down lesson equipment, crowd control measures and snow school signage.
- Assist guests with products & services; in-person, by phone, and by e-mail
- Prepare guest orders of rental equipment, snow school lessons, and/or lift tickets; processing payments through point-of-sale system as required.
- Maintain a safe & clean environment for guests and colleagues at all times, including cleaning washrooms, cleaning floors and keeping
- Shoveling snow and maintaining a clear and ice-free environment around staff and guest buildings
- Follow outlined policies to find solutions to guests' issues
- Assist with sales system issues and reports
- Assist in the marketing, promotion and sales of Manning Park Resort products (ski school, group bookings, season passes and/or day tickets).
- Create and promote new and unique products and events to increase visitation adn participation in the sport
- Oversee the terrain park
- Coordinate with operations for tasks and projects that need to be completed around the Alpine area.
- Other tasks as required.
Job Requirements / Qualifications:
- Level 1 or higher Ski or Snowboard Certification is required.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to multitask.
- Responsible and self-motivated individual able to assess and prioritize necessary duties
- Ability to work in a high-paced environment as both an individual and team player
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Strong computer skills including excel, online sales platforms & POS.
- Will be required to work Weekends & Holidays.
- Good physical condition; able to work in outdoor, adverse weather conditions and perform manual labor
This is a Seasonal Position so you must be able to commit to the role for the full Winter Season (November-April). As a seasonal team member you may be presented with opportunities to cross train and support in other departments to meet seasonal demands.
