Job Description
- Assist in the loading and unloading of delivery trucks
- Pack and unpack goods for shipping and receiving
- Inspect all incoming shipments for condition and verify accuracy against purchase orders
- Distribute received shipments to respective departments within the store
- Process outgoing shipments to suppliers and other Long & McQuade locations
- Work with standard shipping documents and online shipping systems
- Maintain shipping logs and properly file all paperwork
- Keep shipping/receiving area clean and organized and ensure compliance with health and safety standards
- Provide assistance to co-workers in stocking and restocking of merchandise
- Provide assistance to co-workers in general housekeeping and store maintenance
