We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Front of House Shift Manager to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service while maintaining a welcoming and efficient environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, a background in hospitality, and the ability to manage a team effectively. As the Front of House Shift Manager, you will be responsible for enhancing guest experiences, and fostering a positive atmosphere for both staff and customers.
Responsibilities
- Oversee front-of-house operations to ensure high standards of service and hospitality.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints promptly and effectively to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Manage cash handling procedures and ensure accurate processing of transactions using POS systems.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate service flow and maintain communication between front and back of house.
- Monitor cleanliness and organization of dining areas to create an inviting atmosphere for guests.
- Implement policies and procedures that promote operational efficiency while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in customer service or hospitality management is required.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Experience in coffee or knowledge of beverage service is a plus.
- Familiarity with cash handling processes and POS systems is essential.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact positively with guests and staff alike.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Previous experience in restaurant management is preferred but not mandatory.
