Freight North Carriers LTD is currently hiring Class 1 Shack Haulers with Cross-Border Experience based out of Calgary and Edmonton!
As part of the Freight North Group of Companies, we specialize in a wide range of transportation solutions including Flat Deck, Step Deck, Trombone, Lowbed, Scissor Neck, Heavy Haul, 8 to 13 Axle Configurations, Man-Steer and Self-Steer Cars, and more. We are now looking to expand our team of experienced shack haulers to meet growing demand across Western Canada and the U.S.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely haul portable shacks, rigs, and oversized loads across Canada and the U.S.
- Secure and inspect loads to ensure safe transport.
- Follow all regulatory requirements for cross-border hauling and oversized transport.
Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 Driver’s License.
- Clean 5-year commercial abstract.
- Minimum of 2 years shack hauling or heavy haul experience (e.g., Dozers, Loaders, Camps, Shacks).
- Cross-border hauling capabilities (must be able to travel into the U.S.).
- Knowledge of oversized permitting and routing considered a strong asset.
- Mountain driving experience preferred.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
