Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. As a Server, you will play an essential role in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests by delivering high-quality service, ensuring food safety, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests promptly, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems.
- Provide detailed menu knowledge, including daily specials, to assist guests in their selections.
- Upsell menu items effectively to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
- Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages while maintaining high standards of presentation.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal, addressing any concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure accurate food preparation and adherence to food safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the dining area, including bussing tables and resetting them for new guests.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and providing change as needed.
- Assist with hosting duties when necessary, including managing reservations through OpenTable or similar systems.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred, particularly in fine dining or nightclub settings.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and satisfaction.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is highly desirable.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing bills effectively.
- Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation regulations to ensure guest safety.
- Culinary experience or kitchen background is a plus but not required.
