The Opportunity
The Farmhouse is a restaurant with Italian flair. We are looking for energetic, eager, and ambitious Server to round out our Front of House team at our Farmhouse location. The ideal candidate will have a sincere passion for hospitality and upscale service.
What You’ll Do
· Provide – Excellence in customer service during customer full dining experience.
· Servers should have a deep understanding of the ingredients and food served.
· Demonstrate the ability to go the extra step to accommodate guest requests and suggestions.
· Proactively assist other servers with table maintenance, running food, side duties, and assisting to take payments.
· Be knowledgeable regarding allergy policies and procedures to ensure guests are not at risk for an allergic reaction.
· Adhere to sanitation, safety and alcohol beverage control policies
· Maintain a clean and efficient work environment.
· Continuously strive for superior guest satisfaction.
· Help patrons select food and beverages by presenting menu - offering cocktails; suggesting courses; explaining chef’s specials; identifying appropriate wines; answering food preparation questions.
· Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed and directed by supervisor.
What You Have
· 1+ years of previous work experience in a fine dining and beverage setting considered an asset.
· 2+ years previous work experience in a high volume setting.
· Strong knowledge of wine and cocktails is an asset.
· Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player attitude accompanied by an outgoing disposition.
· Must be the age of majority to serve alcoholic beverages with a valid Serving it Right certificate.
· Willingness to learn new concepts and ideas.
· Availability to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Possible some days shifts.
· Must be legally authorized to work in Canada to be considered.
