Duties
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly manner, providing menus and information about daily specials.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using the POS system, specifically Micros POS.
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring proper food handling and sanitation standards are followed.
- Upsell menu items to enhance the guest experience and maximize sales.
- Provide attentive guest services, addressing any concerns or requests promptly.
- Manage cash handling and processing payments accurately, including basic math calculations for transactions.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and service stations.
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and sanitation practices to ensure a safe dining environment.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant experience is preferred, with a strong understanding of food service operations.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is highly desirable.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations in the restaurant industry.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
