About the role
We’re looking for a Senior Specialist, Property and Casualty, to join our Corporate Specialty Solutions team! As a Senior Specialist within the national Specialty Solutions Corporate Property team, your primary role involves supporting the Specialty Property and Specialty Energy verticals including Multinational placements. Occasionally, you will also support other Corporate teams as necessary. Key responsibilities will include providing technical guidance, monitoring results, account referral work, training and working on special projects including system related initiatives, with the goal of ensuring consistent application of corporate underwriting guidelines and achieving profitable growth objectives.
This role can be based in any Intact office location.

Handle referrals and consultations to support performance and underwriting
Develop and update guidelines and authority statements to maintain clear and current standards
Manage product development and implement product improvements effectively
Conduct governance best practices through volume analysis and performing audits
Research and prepare portfolio reports
Provide underwriting training, mentoring colleagues and underwriters to enhance skills and knowledge
Establish and maintain productive business relationships with internal departments and external partners
Communicate changes related to product pricing, underwriting guidelines and new products to relevant stakeholders
Participate in technical committees, rate committees, project teams, etc.
Education and Experience
Minimum 10 years of underwriting experience in large property/energy accounts, including multinational placements and complex reinsurance structures
Detailed knowledge of property products
Highly organized, with the ability to work towards goals while adapting to change in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication, decision making and analytical skills
Strong project management skills, including the ability to lead, initiate, monitor and close projects
CIP or FCIP designation from the Insurance institute of Canada
For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
Willing to travel on occasion
No Canadian work experience required but must have authorization to work in Canada

Salary of the successful candidate will typically be positioned between the following range, taking into consideration a number of factors including prior experience, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, location and internal equity:
$120,200.00 - $180,200.00What we offer
