Job Summary
This newly created position will be responsible for persuading Canadian Eye Care Practitioners to prescribe Diffusion Optics Technology (DOT) spectacle lenses. The Senior Sales Representative will manage the selling process from introduction to activation with target ECPs. The role is part of a small and nimble team and requires independence, self-starting, flexibility of approach, and strong communication skills. The successful candidate demonstrates expert-level persuasion capabilities, advanced customer relationship management, and strategic business and practice development.
- Possesses full understanding of myopia management landscape, including key competitors and how to position DOT lenses against the competition
- Identifies target Eye Care Professionals (ECPs) / practices, including potential retail group partners from Canadian chains and mass-merchants
- Understands each customer’s practice and develops in-depth business and practice review to best assess how to implement a DOT lenses into the practice
- Works with the Medical Affairs and Professional Affairs team to deliver product training and collate feedback, as well as assisting Professional Affairs in developing a network of active, supportive ECP’s.
- Work with Customer Service & Lens Supply Manager to ensure smooth service experience
- Maintains consistent customer engagement and support to ensure success
- Collaborates with appropriate SGV staffers and other key stakeholders to grow the DOT business in Canada
- Possesses excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to best serve the customer and SightGlass Vision interests, including resolving challenges and sales objections in an expert and mature manner.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Time flexibility that meets customer and communication requirements
- Flexibility for additional hours at busy stages of the project
- Regular travel for customer meetings, training and events, including some weekend travel as required
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ commercial experience within the optical industry, preferably in the spectacle lens category
- Strong Canadian Optical market network
- Advanced persuasion capabilities
- Independence and self-starting with an entrepreneurial mindset
Education:
- Relevant Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Optical credentials preferred but not essential
