The Senior P&C Program Manager will lead strategic, complex, and multi-dimensional and cyclical programs and projects that have a significant impact across Lightspeed. You will partner closely with the People & Culture (P&C) leadership team, colleagues within the P&C department and across Lightspeed. This role will be critical in driving our P&C transformation initiatives, prioritizing critical work and defining the roadmap to achieve our strategic goals. The successful individual will provide high-level support to the Vice-President of Talent Systems, Insights & Total Rewards and Head of Talent & Capability, acting as a strategic partner to ensure the success of key initiatives across the Centres of Excellence (CoE). As a Senior Program Manager, you will drive structured, transparent, and results-oriented execution to ensure Lightspeed and the P&C team achieve their objectives. Leveraging purposeful execution frameworks, you will align cross-functional teams, track progress against objectives, and ensure goals are met efficiently and effectively.
What you’ll be doing:
- Initiate and lead the execution of key cross-functional, Lightspeed-wide programs to support organizational performance and delivery of the P&C strategy. This includes leading some of the P&C department's most strategic programs focused on Leadership Development, Compensation, Performance Management, AI and transformation.
- Partner closely with the P&C leadership team on key strategic drivers and our annual roadmap/OKRs to help move the needle and clear the clutter from projects that are wasting valuable time and effort.
- Act as a strategic partner to the Vice-President, assisting with project prioritization, cross-functional stakeholder meetings, drafting communications, and providing comprehensive support on various initiatives for the P&C Leadership team.
- Support in developing and executing the future state strategy, including defining strategic objectives, key results, and implementation plans.
- Partner and collaborate with team members across People Business Partners, Payroll and all other People & Culture functions, as well as cross-functional stakeholders to achieve business and financial success metrics for programs and initiatives. Ensuring clarity of purpose, alignment on scope, and shared accountability throughout execution.
- Provide key support in change management, developing highly detailed change management plans for critical projects to ensure maximum adoption.
- Oversee and actively participate in system implementations, ensuring successful deployment and adoption.
- Drive process improvement initiatives within projects, leveraging methodologies such as Six Sigma to optimize workflows and enhance efficiency.
- Exhibit exceptional agility in pivoting between multiple complex projects, maintaining momentum and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrate a "roll up your sleeves" attitude, readily taking on diverse tasks and responsibilities to ensure team and organizational success.
As a Senior Program Manager, you are expected to:
- Oversee and coordinate key initiatives within assigned departments, acting as the connective tissue between strategy and execution. Ensuring transparency, effective stakeholder engagement, and timely communication around progress, risks, and decisions. Defining, monitoring, and analyzing key performance indicators to measure impact, highlight gaps, and drive continuous improvement. Embedding operational excellence by standardizing best practices, optimizing workflows, and scaling what works. A solid understanding of performance metrics and commercial outcomes with every program.
- Solution programs and approach, seeking clarity on ambiguous deliverables, defining scope and execution plans. Utilizing program delivery frameworks and tools for scope definition, milestone planning, risk management, resource coordination, and reporting. Presenting complex ideas with clarity and offering recommendations that support speed, scalability, and strategic alignment.
- Present and communicate complex ideas succinctly with a clear message of status and decisions needed, as well as regular reporting on program execution and metrics. Providing support and input to others within the People & Culture Programs team and across Lightspeed.
Performance & KPI’s:
- Successful completion and impact of large cross-functional projects, particularly those related to our key transformation programs.
- Contribution to the development and execution of the future state People & Culture strategy.

- Positive feedback from key stakeholders and cross-functional partners on collaboration and project outcomes.
- Measurable improvements in processes and systems due to implemented initiatives.
What you need to bring:
