The opportunity:
Join our growing Productivity Applications team and work on key initiatives within Achievers where we integrate aspects of our platform to other third-party applications (e.g., MS Teams, Slack, Outlook, etc.) such that customers can then offer recognitions within their currently used applications.
What you`ll be doing
- Designing, coding, unit testing, and integrating new features and functionalities that scale to millions of users.
- The tech stack you`ll be using to solve complex challenges: primarily Python, Go, Node.js, GCP.
- Collaborate closely with our Senior Architects and Product Managers to translate business needs into robust and scalable solutions.
- Support cross-functional teams as the subject matter expert of our domain.
- Be hands-on with the codebase and engage actively in code reviews.
- See all solutions through a security lens and make our solutions safe from get go.
- Contribute to and enforce engineering best practices, standards, and guidelines. Lead and initiate engineering improvements.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to Junior and Intermediate Engineers, fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement.
What we`re looking for:
- 5+ years professional backend development experience in Agile enterprise-level environment.
- Proficient programming skills in Python/Go as well as relational and NoSQL databases such as MySQL and MongoDB.
- Ability and proven track record in creating designs that scale.
- Experience with GCP, Pub/Sub, Kubernetes or similar technologies.
- Prior experience and interest in coaching and mentoring fellow team members.
- Passion for continuously learning and staying up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and software engineering practices to bring fresh perspectives and ideas to the team.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
