We are seeking a highly skilled and Certified Security Alarm Installer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting security alarm systems.
Experience in sales is a valuable asset, as you will have the opportunity to engage with clients and offer tailored security solutions.
Customer service and managing teams is an essential part of this role.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair security alarm systems, access control systems, CCTV, and structured cabling.
- Conduct site assessments to determine optimal installation locations and providing estimates.
- Provide excellent customer service and support, including face-to-face and telephone contact with customers.
- Educate clients on the use and maintenance of their security systems.
- Collaborate and contribute with the sales team to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Stay updated on the latest security technologies and industry trends.
- Prepare and collect technical documentation, including system details, configurations, and credential management.
- Ensure installations meet codes and industry standards for low-voltage security systems.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and service calls for future reference.
Qualifications:
- Security Alarm Installer license from the Security Programs Division.
- Proven experience in installing and maintaining security alarm systems, access control systems, CCTV, and intercoms.
- Ability to train support staff and build a highly skilled team.
- Strong technical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in sales is an asset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work in finished and occupied spaces while maintaining a tidy work environment.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment for troubleshooting purposes.
- Knowledge of networking principles, particularly for security and surveillance systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring schematics, and system diagrams.
