The Position
The successful candidates’ duties will include running the schools'
library services, with the balance of the day working as an Educational
Assistant with one or more students. Hours of work will be Monday-Friday at 6.25
hours/day following the school calendar.

Flexibility in managing multiple
tasks and establishing priorities
- Excellent organizational skills

Computer technology skills
(Microsoft and Google programs) including the ability to track, order and
circulate materials using the current library programs
- Knowledge of the Polaris Library
programs would be an asset
- Knowledge of TRAC and the Alberta
Relais Library lending program would be an asset
Qualifications — Educational
Assistant
- Experience working with behaviorally
challenged and non-verbal students would be an asset
- Ability to set clear boundaries,
communicate effectively and efficiently and work independently
- Ability to work in a flexible
learning environment
- Ability to establish positive
relationships to support students in grades 7-12
- Excellent interpersonal and
communication skills with students and adults
- Must demonstrate the ability to work
as a member of the school team, taking direction from the classroom teacher,
special education lead teacher, and consultants
- Enthusiastic and motivated to help
students succeed
- SIVA training would be an asset
- First aid would be an asset
