Comfort Zone Insulation, located in Perth, Ontario, is seeking a full-time Sales / New Business Acquisition Lead.
A valid Ontario driver's license, clean driver's abstract, and reliable daily transportation to work are required.
Job Summary
At Comfort Zone Insulation (CZI), the Sales/New Business Acquisition Lead is responsible for driving new sales and participating in the estimating process in order to increase new and repeat business for the company. This position is crucial in ensuring that there is a consistent funnel of new work for the company.
In this role, you will be required to have some technical knowledge of spray foam insulation techniques and materials and estimating experience.
From time-to-time, you may also be connecting customers with CZI sister companies and their offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Connect Comfort Zone Insulation with local homebuilders to grow the potential customer base.
- Perform site measurements for new incoming customers requesting insulation work.
- Assist the lead estimator in the preparation of estimates, and by following up on estimates once they have been provided to the customer.
- If unsuccessful in being awarded the work, seek to understand the reason(s), in order that we can improve our process, offering or pricing.
- Communicate job site issues and coordinate with the office personnel to support scheduling.
- Build and develop relationships within the construction community.
- Other duties as may be assigned in support of new customer acquisition.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.
- Proven experience in operations management, preferably in the insulation or construction industry.
- Strong background in sales and estimating, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- In-depth knowledge of spray foam insulation equipment and techniques.
- Excellent leadership and time management skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and under tight deadlines.
- Strong collaboration, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong English communication skills (oral, reading, writing).
- Proficient in relevant software (i.e., Google Suite, project management tools, estimating software).
- Mobile phone with adequate data and roaming for GPS/communications.
Working Conditions:
- Monday to Friday (7:00 am to 4:00 pm)
- Regular office work, using a computer.
- Frequent short duration travel to visit customer sites for the purposes of estimating, training staff, or monitoring the work being performed on-site.
- Requirement to walk on uneven surfaces, and to climb stairs or ladders to take measurements on-site.
- Regular customer interactions, occasionally with people who are frustrated or upset.
- Occasional requirement to lift up to 50 lbs.
