About the Role
Advance Signs & Awnings is hiring a Sales Consultant with Graphic Design Skills. This is a high-responsibility, high-opportunity position. You will meet clients, prepare proposals, write contracts, and design project mockups.
This position combines sales skills with visual creativity, and you must be capable of working independently, staying organized, and thinking on your feet. You must have strong client communication and presentation skills, as well as technical ability to create visuals.
Responsibilities
- Meet clients on-site to discuss project needs (awnings, signs, canopies, shutters, etc.)
- Measure job sites accurately and record all dimensions/details
- Write contracts by hand during client meetings, including all details
- Create mockups and visual presentations for proposals
- Prepare detailed proposals with timelines, options, and pricing
- Follow up with leads and respond to inquiries in a timely, professional manner
- Maintain excellent written and verbal communication with clients
- Maintain showroom materials and product brochures in a clean, organized fashion
- Attend occasional tradeshows or networking events
- Collaborate closely with production and design teams to align project goals
Requirements
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License (you will drive to client sites in company vehicle)
- Graphic design skills (mockups, visual presentations, creative layout)
- Excellent writing, spelling, and grammar
- Strong typing speed and organization
- Ability to communicate effectively and listen attentively
- Experience in sales or client-facing roles
- Emotionally intelligent, proactive, and calm under pressure
- Willing to learn about materials, product codes, catalogues, and installation methods
- Strong time management

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $45,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
