Duties
- Install shingles on roofs according to specifications and blueprints.
- Perform heavy lifting and carry materials to job sites as needed.
- Utilize hand tools and equipment safely and effectively, including nail guns, hammers, and caulking tools.
- Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure quality and compliance with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with carpenters and other tradespeople to facilitate smooth project execution.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times.
- Follow all safety protocols to minimize risks on the job site.
Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading to understand project specifications.
- Experience with heavy lifting, as the role requires moving materials frequently.
- Strong skills in using hand tools relevant to roofing tasks.
- Knowledge of caulking techniques for sealing joints and edges effectively.
- A maintenance person background is a plus, providing versatility in addressing various construction needs.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
