Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in automotive repair, ideally from a dealership environment. This role requires hands-on expertise with various hand tools and the ability to read and interpret schematics. The Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicles while providing exceptional customer service.
Duties
- Diagnose mechanical issues using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on vehicles, ensuring high-quality workmanship.
- Utilize hand tools and machinery safely and effectively in the repair process.
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential problems or necessary repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients regarding their vehicle's condition and recommended services.
- Assist in heavy lifting tasks as needed during the repair process.
- Weld components as required for specific repairs or modifications.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in automotive repair, preferably in a dealership setting.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various vehicle systems.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and welding techniques.
- Ability to read and understand schematics related to vehicle systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in a fast-paced environment.
- A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications may be preferred.
