Retail/Service Writer Supervisor

The Wax Bench is a ski and bike store based in Revelstoke British Columbia. Starting out as a ski tuning shop, the store has expanded considerably over the last 11 years of operation. Repair services consist of winter based ski tuning and year-round bike tuning. Rental activities comprises of a kids seasonal rental program as well as high end ski and snow-board rentals. Winter ski retail sales are supported by a demo rental fleet operated by the rental department. Summer and winter retail sales now form the larger part of total operations. The Wax Bench has remained service focused though this transition and is now looking to build a management team to maintain service while growing retail operations.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Oversee daily operations of retail and service writing activities
• Ensure accuracy of service writing, including meeting customer expectations
• Assist and monitor staff schedules to meet demand
• Assist customers in selecting retail products and enter retail special orders.
• Receive retail items and create point of sale purchase orders.
• Maintain and improve retail displays
• Process retail transactions and complete cash outs
• Returning equipment to clients

Requirements
1. Minimum 2.5 years experience in a retail and service environment specializing in ski or bike equipment.
2. Must have 3 seasons experience in a ski shop and 2 in a bike shop, and must

• be fluent in English, communicate clearly with customers and staff,
• have Lightspeed experience,
• work as part of a team or independently
• carry out the physical work required
