Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations of our restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for providing outstanding customer service. This role requires effective team management, ensuring food safety standards are met, and maintaining a positive dining experience for all guests.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily restaurant operations, including staff management and scheduling.
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality and consistency.
- Manage the Point of Sale (POS) system, including cash handling and transaction processing.
- Train, interview, and evaluate staff performance to foster a high-performing team environment.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation practices.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving complaints promptly.
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to develop menu items that reflect current trends and customer preferences.
- Implement marketing strategies to promote the restaurant and increase patronage.
Skills
- Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the food service industry.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations.
- Proficiency in using POS systems, particularly Micros POS, for efficient transaction management.
- Excellent supervisory skills with a focus on team management and development.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
- Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork and motivate staff to achieve their best performance.
- Experience in interviewing candidates and conducting training sessions for new hires.
