Edo’s Managers are the collaborators that drive our team to create LEGENDARY guest experiences during every customer transaction, every day! As an Edo Manager, you will do more than just manage. You will oversee and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the business. Plan, organize, train and lead to achieve stated objectives in sales, costs, employee retention, guest service and satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness, and sanitation. Direct marketing efforts and adapt to market conditions.
YOU GOT THIS IF:
YOU are friendly, confident and possess previous restaurant experience.
YOU are able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of the restaurant’s trading area.
YOU have knowledge of food and service generally involving at least three years of combined front-of-the-house and back-of-the-house operations.
YOU enjoy taking a creative approach to marketing (community-engagement, etc.)
YOU possess excellent basic math skills and have the ability to operate a cash register or POS system.
YOU are able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).
YOU are able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
A TYPICAL DAY AS A MANAGER
- Understand completely all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines and training programs.
- Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards.
- Ensure store achieves objectives in sales, profitability, service, quality, appearance of facility, and sanitation/cleanliness.
- Control cash and other receipts by adhering to cashing handling procedures in accordance with restaurant policies and procedures.
- Develop and ensures execution of monthly marketing plan.
- Fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.
- Prepare all required paperwork, reports and schedules in an organized and timely manner.
- Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and kept in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following preventive maintenance programs.
- Ensure all products are received and accounted for in good condition and stored within company guidelines.
- Schedule labour as required by anticipated business activity while ensuring that all positions are staffed when and as needed and labor cost objectives re met.
- Continually strive to develop staff in all areas of managerial and professional development.
- Train and develop all staff and identify potential new managers.
- Make employment and termination decisions.
- Develop the budget and oversee the execution of the budget over the year.
- Analyze financial reports and makes necessary management decisions when necessary.
- Conduct weekly manager meetings.
- Manage shifts as needed.
- Oversee and ensure that restaurant policies on employee performance appraisals are followed and completed on a timely basis.
- Be knowledgeable of restaurant policies regarding personnel and administer prompt, fair, and consistent corrective action for any and all violations of company policies, rules, and procedures.
- Fully understand and comply with all regulations that pertain to health, safety, and labor requirements of the restaurant, employees, and guests.
- Carry out restaurant marketing, advertising, sampling and promotional campaigns and programs.
