The Lodge Kitchen and Bar is looking for an experienced GM to lead our team. We're a large space that hosts a lot of events and are looking for someone with a creative mind, a can do attitude and an entrepreneurial spirit. We're looking for someone with at least 2 years restaurant management experience. Someone who values the guest experience and is well rounded in their skills. Our Gm is largely responsible for creating a warm, welcoming environment for staff and guests alike. They need to be confident in creating new cocktails, building social media, ensuring quality service and food as well as finding creative ways to engage with the community.
We're looking for an experienced candidate who is excited to make The Lodge their home.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and service.
- Manage staff recruitment, training, and development to build a skilled team.
- Supervise food preparation and cooking processes to maintain consistency and quality.
- Implement and enforce food safety and handling procedures in compliance with health regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage cash handling processes efficiently.
- Utilize POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and financial reporting.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving complaints promptly.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and quality food presentation.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Develop strategies to enhance operational efficiency and increase customer satisfaction.
Skills
- Minimum 2 years experience in a restaurant leadership role.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food handling.
- Experience in supervising staff, conducting interviews, and managing team dynamics.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong service experience behind bar and cocktail knowlege
- Ability to think critically under pressure.
