As BIM Specialist, you will be responsible for the initial conceptualisation to the final construction phase and will be following site maintenance. More specifically, you will:
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders;
- Ensure a seamless integration of BIM technology throughout the project;
- Act as coordinator, managing digital models, and contributing to design optimisation;
- Play a major role in data management, overseeing the creation, organisation, and maintenance of digital models;
- Promote effective communication and information exchanges;
- Streamline project workflows, reducing errors and improving overall performance and efficiency;
- Responsible for managing project outputs like drawings and documents;
- Provide continuous support to the Project team and coordinate with Operation;
- Engage in detailed analysis and documentation;
- Harness BIM tools to conduct simulations, clash detection, and performance analysis, providing valuable insights for project optimisation. The documentation ensures that every aspect of the project is recorded, creating a digital footprint for future reference.
Qualifications
- College diploma or Bachelor degree in a relevant field
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in BIM engineer;
- Develop high-precision 3D models using BIM software
- Work in diverse construction environments like commercial, industrial, educational and healthcare-related projects;
- Ability to work independently with little direction;
- Ability to easily express oneself and to articulate one’s ideas;
- Bilingual in French and English; Proficiency in English is required for this position, as the incumbent will be required to interact with our English-speaking clients, partners, and suppliers;
- Excellent professionalism and work ethic;
- Good sense of priorities and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously;
- Excellent problem-solving skills;
- Knowledge and ease of use of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.);
- Successful completion of the investigation and security clearance process required by the federal government’s Contract Security Program.
