• Support individuals to become as self-sufficient in all areas of daily living.
• Work with the residential team to identify areas of concern and improve service. Provide constructive input and recommendations to improve existing policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Support individuals within the residence to locate and access community resources that meet their unique and evolving needs.
• Act as a positive role model for community members, co-workers, and those you support.
• Advocate for the meaningful inclusion and active participation of individuals within their community.
• Work with the residential team to maintain a safe and healthy environment for those you support. To ensure high standards of care are intact.
• Coach and instruct individuals.
• Facilitate the involvement of family members and friends in the lives of the individuals you support.
• Respect each individual’s right to privacy and confidentiality.
• General administration, report writing, record keeping, and accountability of funds.
• Actively practice the Values, Beliefs, and Future Directions of IDS in an ethical, caring, and professional manner.
• Perform other duties as requested.
